This four-year project, which is funded by the EU Commission’s LIFE Programme, is supported by project partners such as Klimabündnis Tirol, Energie Tirol, komm!unity Wörgl, Caritas Tirol and alpS GmbH and is co-financed by Province of Tyrol and Stadtwerke Wörgl.
The implementation of knowledge, structures, networks as well as financial and non-cash benefits by other cooperation partners, such as the Innsbrucker Kommunalbetriebe AG and Tiroler Wasserkraft AG, are key to the sustainable success of this initiative.
At the end of the project, the DoppelPlus campaign will become an integral part of the province’s TIROL 2050 energieautonom energy strategy.

The climate alliance is the largest climate protection network in Europe. 1700 Communities from 20 countries, schools, and businesses build a partnership with indigenous organizations in the Amazon.The Climate Alliance Austria consists of eight regional offices and interacts with cities, municipalities, schools, nursery schools and enterprises across the country

The organization´s working methods are characterized by target-group specific communication, stakeholder-commitment, education and dissemination of best practices on a local, regional and national level. As project leader they are responsible for the implementation of DoppelPlus.
For decades Caritas Tirol has been giving social advice, especially to low-income households.
The main objective of the Caritas is to eradicate poverty and plight and to reach people who receive insufficient or no help at all . The Caritas has a vast experience in implementing assistance in various social sectors. In the last years, the collaboration has been expanded to various new projects in cooperation with regional structures and partners, of which DoppelPlus benefitted as well.
The non-profit organisation Energie Tirol is an independent information centre of Tyrol and a competent contact partner for all energy issues. It does not matter if you are a person, a community or a company- Energie Tirol is a reliable information source for all energy issues. The dedicated energy consultants find the correct answers to your questions and therefore they are an important structuring partner for DoppelPlus.
Komm!unity Wörgl is an organisation for promoting youth, integration and community work. Its overarching aim is a sustainable improvement of quality of life and cohabitation in the Tyrolean Unterland. Under the guidance of komm!unity the “EIF Wörgl” project was implemented. Its thematic focus was energy poverty of immigrants and more than 20 multilingual persons were trained as energy saving coaches. These coaches advised voluntarily households, which had been at risk of poverty and had a migrant background. Therefore komm!unity is an important initiator and partner for DoppelPlus.
The alpS GmbH is the leading scientific enterprise in the area of climate change adaptation in Austria.
By using interdisciplinary approaches and public and private cooperations, alpS develops action-orientated and scientific solutions and has comprehensive know-how in the areas of climate change-, energy and risk management. Regarding DoppelPkus, alpS sets its focus on measuring the success of the implemented measures.
